Cluttered pages scare people off. It’s not the best thing to see on the internet if everything is a mess and nothing is organised. Cluttered web pages are the same as a person being lost in a crowd of people with no sign saying where you are. Don’t forget that there could be other companies that do the same service as you and if someone is feeling overwhelmed they will leave.

Use colours that don’t hurt the eyes. If you are planning on using the brightest colour possible, don’t. Certain colours, especially bright and bold, people will struggle to see especially if there is writing on top of that colour. This could also overwhelm people. If you are worried that people won’t be attracted to your page then rather have images or bold writing in interesting fonts. Grip the people with content after visual elements.

Update your page with adverts and competitions. It’s better to be known as an active page. That way your clients will be on your website often to see what new events are happening and can spread the word to people they know.

Make sure you use writing that is legible and can be seen. You don’t want an audience struggling to understand what you are saying. They will automatically leave your page to find something else that doesn’t give them a headache. This works the same for the size of the font. Rather have a bigger and longer page of content than a short one that takes double the time to decipher.

Anyone who visits your site is going to judge it based on their first impression. If the visitor doesn’t like what is seen then you already have someone who thinks you don’t have proper service. Grab people with any element that suits your product.

Get straight to the point when describing the pages. If someone is new to your service or product they want to know immediately what you offer. This could either be your slogan or something written in big bold letters on the home page.
